Eula Stowers Obituary

Eula V. Stowers, 91, of Hopewell, passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.

She is the daughter of the late Wilbert and Eliza Lawson McCallister, and was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Woodrow W. Stowers, and a son, Phillip Stowers. Eula is survived by her children, Brian Stowers and wife, June, of Prince George, Va., and Elouise Driggers and husband, Raymond, of Locust Grove, Va.; grandchildren, Kevin Driggers, Lisa Johnson, Michelle Mauger, Scott Stowers, Valerie Montgomery, Sheila Wright and John Stowers; 12 great-grandchildren; one step reat-granddaughter; two great-great-grandchildren; and two special sisters-in-law, Anna Watterson of Hamlin, W.Va., and Judy Atkins of Hopewell.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park in Chester the same day. Memorial contribution can be made to Hospice of Virginia, 7231 Forest Ave., Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23226, or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
