Eleanora Kraus Obituary

Eleanora Sanger Bullock Kraus, of Roanoke, Va., died on Sunday, May 2, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Ann Swift Sanger and Bruce Sanger. She retired from Aetna Life & Casualty Company. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde S. Bullock and Henry E. Kraus; and her only sister, Ruth S. Dorton. She was a long time member of Green Memorial United Methodist Church and a former member of Hidden Valley Country Club, where she enjoyed playing golf for many years. She was an avid bridge player belonging to several area bridge clubs. She is survived by a nephew and his wife, Jack and Sheila Dorton; and a great-niece, Nicole Elaine Dorton. Memorials may be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24012 or to the RAM House, 824 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24016. Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Arthur Grant officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
