Donna Botz Obituary

DONNA MARIE BRADY BOTZ, 74 OSHKOSH, Wis. - Donna Marie Brady Botz, 74, of Oshkosh died peacefully Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Born July 10, 1937, at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, daughter of the late Clifton and Evelyn (Peterson) Hedstrom. Donna attended Ebinger Grade School and Taft High School in Chicago. She also attended North Park College in Chicago, Valley City State College in North Dakota, and Mankato State College in Minnesota. Donna worked as a secretary at CBS in Chicago, the University of Wisconsin Madison, Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and the College of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She married Thomas Brady in 1958, in Chicago, and lived in the above cities while Tom was either attending school or was a professor in the art department. They later divorced and Tom died in 1991. She then married James Botz in 1995 in Oshkosh. They were later divorced and he survives. Donna was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, its choir, and Women's Bible Study. Donna is loved and will be missed by her children, Shawn (Kelly) Brady of Madison and Kimberly Brady of New York City; sister, Judith (John) Ahlquist of Silverthorn, Colo.; and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Donna's oncologist, Dr. Karen Gremminger MD, for her wonderful care. Further, a very special thank you to Jim for his care, concern, and "million little helps." Memorial service at noon Saturday, June 30, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1325 Georgia St., Oshkosh; the family will greet relatives and friends from 9 a.m. to time of service. The Rev. Rick Hopkins will officiate. Memorials may be directed to Plymouth Congregational Church to be used for the choir and other music endeavors.
