I didn't know about you or your paintings until you had been dead for a few years, but you changed my life Thomas. You filled me with hope and gave me something to take comfort in. You have become a part of me.. You will remain in my heart until the day I too am gone from this life.. You left so much to love behind you.. I hope you are having fun painting the heavens.. Thank you Thomas, for all your gifts!!

I don't know why I didn't read about his passing before now. I'm really surprised that it didn't get a lot of news coverage. He will most certainly be missed, but remembered forever through his paintings and all the other objects that have his beautiful works of art on them. I have a couple of his collectibles and will treasure them always. My condolences to his wife and daughters. May he rest in peace.

Your name was mentioned in my mother in law's eulogy. It was about how we always picked Thomas Kinkade's puzzles to work on; due to the colors, light and beauty of them. I appreciate the joy he brought to her final years. Many thanks from the Family of Joyce L. Robinson (April 25, 1934-April 19, 2013)

Dear Father God,How wonderful you bless some, that can see from the windows of heaven and display this on paper, how wonderful Lord to see through your eyes.Thomas had the vision others wish they had, but his gift was from the Creator of all things wonderful. Thank you Lord for this wonderful man who could make his brush speak of all your wonders you have given us. He was lucky to be used for your pleasure and to share this with others Thank You Lord for him:) Blessings and Peace to all his friends and family! Psalms:139

May he finally be touched and wrapped in the divine light he so shared with the world. Perhaps God called back his favorite painter of the skies and it is to the heavens we must look on the most beautiful of days and think," it must be God and Thomas, painting again....my heart felt condolences on your loss. Though you have paintings and comfort, it cannot replace the warmth that Thomas gave you. I hope the memories you two shared will sustain you till you and your loved ones join him again.all my love and best wishes, Monica Sand

To The Kinkade Family,
With deep sympathy and a heavy heart ,I write these words for your family. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in all the pleasant memories that you have, and may they comfort you, and bring you strength, in your time of grief. May you also find comfort with the thoughts below:
Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
This verse found @ Isaiah 49:13 has comforted me, I hope that t comforts you as well.

I remember the first time I saw a painting by Thomas Kinkade. It took my breath away and I could sit for hours and ponder all the feelings it invoked in me. I have many articles of things decorated by Thom and now, when I pick up a favorite mug or dust off my plate collection, I can't help but dab tears away thinking that even though he gave us so much, it's heartbreaking to realize that there will be no more. I pray for God's comfort for his family and friends. Thom, I will miss you for years to come.

Just heard the news at a local art gallery today. I am so saddened.
We all receive gifts from God, but there are a few that are truly blessed. I have always felt these "special" gifts are given to be shared. Mr. Kinkade certainly shared his gifts with the world and aren't we all "enlightened" because of him. He will be missed, but he is now in the places he painted, because they always reminded me of what heaven looks like.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Kinkade.

Such a loss. Not only did Thomas paint but he was a wonderful author (together with Katherine Spencer). I have read all 12 of the Cape Light Novels and the 3 Angel Island Novels. Wonderful Christian stories about love and faith. What will happen now with the "rest of the stories"??

My deepest sympathy to Nanette, Merritt, Chandler, Winsor and Everett! May our Lord surround you with his love and comfort @ this time of your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
My sister, Florence and myself are avid admirers of Thoms paintings. I have 2 large ones in my home. His work almost spoke to those who viewed it. God blessed him with such great talent and we are so thankful that he used that talent to Bless the world. May 2nd was my sisters birthday. I did research online and downloaded many of your family photos, a biography, and a collection of Thoms artwork then I created a personalized albumn as a gift to her. She just loves it! Your daughters are beautiful and My sincere wishes for the best life possible for each of them. I spent 30 years in Sacramento and am familiar with the Placerville area. Wish our paths had crossed.
May you be Blessed and Highly Favored by our Lord!!

I used to live in Silicon Valley and frequented Monterey and Carmel often, during the late 80's - 90's. By shear happen-stance, while taking a walk in Carmel, I came upon Mr. Kincade, who was painting outside in the beautiful weather. He was a humble and kind man with not only great talent, he had a deep faith in mankind and life which was reflected in each brush stroke. We have 6 small and 1 very large piece of his work as well as a lighthouse figurine and love them. Prayers and Light to his family during this difficult time.

It is so hard to find the words, I dont know if the family reads these, but I just wanted to give my deepest heartfelt condolonces to Nanette and her daughters and Thom's family. I was an employee of Kinkade for over 12 years and talked with Thom whenever he visited the bldg, I respected him as a person and artist and often times would ask him to sign something for my family who loved his work. I saw first hand how his work touched people's lives and often would thank him for it. He prayed for my cousin and mother who died of cancer. He was a giving and loving man who I always loved to hear speak about his family and how God lit the way for him to do his work. I am so blessed to have worked for him and will always cherish my memories and the talks I had with him. God bless his family as they mourn for Thom and know that hes resting in peace and still has his easle in Heaven.

We have five of Mr Kinkades paintings. We never thought that we would ever have been able to afford even one. We collected his paintings instead of going on cuises or trips. We love his work. My Husband got to shake his hand back in 2008 when we attended one of his many personal appearances at a signing event. God speed Mr. Kinkade. Alas, Kinkade, you were too young to die!
Your lovely mist-wreathed gardenscapes and homes,
All filled with flowers, as sweet as honeycombs,
Your brushes dipped in dewy rainbow's dye,
So rich in sentiment; I wonder why
You, with your happy heart, as pure as poems,
Would leave so soon: you'd not a soul that roams,
Bereft and barren, with a mournful cry.
An artist too, I've heard my brethren slight
Your gorgeous valleys and your cozy homes:
Perhaps your sweetness spawned their bitterness.
Those magic landscapes, filled with beauty bright,
In times like these, are stars aloft the gloams,
When every family has wounds to dress.

Thomas Kinkade will remain as one of America's great artists for many years to come. My heart ached when I heard the news of his passing. But I hope and I pray, that Thomas is now with the Lord Jesus and I have asked Jesus to say a "thank you" to Thomas, for his generosity and hard work in sharing with so many people the beauty he saw in his mind through his meticulously done masterpieces.
No, we would not forget Thomas Kinkade, and I would be among the many who would keep on praying for his beloved Nanette and 4 daughters.

To the Kincaide family, I was very saddened to hear about your loss.
I loved his paintings, Even though I've never owned one I do have several puzzles, that are truly special.
He was a good man and will truly be missed.
I wish I could add some comforting words, but all I can say to you is that it is something we all have to go through in our lifetime. My 88-yr-old grandmother is in the nursing home now, and every day is a struggle. She has alzheimer's disease and is fading pretty fast, and it is so very painful to go to see her but I know if I don't I may not have many more chances left to do so. So in part I am also grieving. Just hold on to the good memories you had. And he will live on forever in your hearts and minds.

I will always remember living in Placerville in 1989 and enjoying Thomas Kinkade's beautiful cottages on the side wall going up the stairs in his first gallery in Placerville. It was an antique shop when I visited it back in the day. I admired his talent even back then. I bought several pictures at his various charity events in Placerville. I even have a snapshot of Tom and Nanette. He was a true blessing of a man. I am so glad I was able to meet him in person. He manifested God's beautiful gifts. I want Nanette, his girls, and the rest of his family to know how sorry I am for their loss. He will be truly missed and cherished. May God comfort you during this time. Dear Kinkade family, I am so saddened by the loss of your husband/father. I'm sure the heaven's were "aglow" when Thomas made his entry through the Pearly Gates. Thomas became a household word because his paintings were so beautiful and made you want to live in the picture that he had painted. I still enjoy going through his gallery inside the "Hartville Collectibles" in Hartville, Ohio. Thanks Thomas for sharing your talent and family in your painting! I remember first seeing him on QVC many years ago and pledged I would someday have one of this paintings in my home. I hope my dream still comes true!
