Dennis Olsen Obituary

Dennis Ray Olsen 1945 ~ 2009 Our brother Dennis Ray Olsen, 64, of Centerville, Utah, passed away peacefully June 24, 2009 at home among family members, following a two year battle with cancer. Dennis was born May 19, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lawrence Clifford Olsen and Ora Mae Frehner, the fifth of ten children. He served a building mission to the Southeastern States serving in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. During his frequent visits to the hospital his sense of humor, brightened and cheered patients and workers alike. The family gives special thanks and gratitude to the doctors and staff at the V.A. Hospital, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and CNS Hospice for their compassionate treatment. LuAnn and Don Wood

Its been 30 years since I talked to Dennis and when I saw he had died great memories of knowing your family in Woods Cross came streaming back.

Dennis is a celestial being and I enjoyed spending time with him back then. He brought a flavor to life that was a treat.

There was a great spiritual nature to associating with the Cliff Olsen Family and Annette and I have fond memories.

Don, I was happy when you and LuAnn found each other because it was the marriage of two great families.

You a took good care of Dennis and he will be greatly missed. He will now be able to be an ambassedor for Christ unhampered with the pains of this world. This is the gift of Paradise to those who are prepared like Dennis with the endowment of the temple and a testimony of the restoration.

What a reunion he is having.

We love each of you.

I grew up in Woods Cross with the Olsen family and Dennis was so fun to be with, always a sense of humor. I believe that got him through hard times when his mother passed away and probably throughout his life. What a kind, loving person Dennis was and still is.
