I remember him behind the meat counter at the Granger Market (his dad was at the cash register) when I was kid buying groceries for my mom. We also bought our coal to heat the house from the market. That little store holds a special place in my childhood memories. May God bless the Anast family.

To the Anast Family,
We have enjoyed Chris to be our next door neighbors for 8 years. Our 5 children have grown to love him and help him out with taking the garbage cans out to the curb every week as well as other errands. Always so happy and cheerful as he can be! Strong as an ox! Nothing as bad tidings would keep him down. Such a strong man with wonderful words. We will miss him! Enjoyed our conversations of life and stories.

Chris has been very dear to me and my family for many years. I called him "George" for George Clooney. He called me "Nic" for Nicole Kidman. We would sing cheerful songs like "I got you babe", and "Don't worry be happy". He would tell me stories about his beautiful wife, Betty, and the fun and crazy times he had with his brother-in-law, Mike. He gave me some onyx ashtrays a long time ago, and I asked him to promise he would give me a sign that he was "ok" if he ever left this earth. On Thursday night at 9:15 and again at 9:30 my tv went off and back on without a flicker of the lights. Pretty strange, but comforting as I am sure it was him keeping his promise. He was a Saint!! I will love and miss him forever. Joni Jones and Family
