Dear John and family: I was sorry to learn of the loss of your father. He and my mother, Elaine Marino, worked together at the Travis AFB USO and were good friends for many years. My prayers are with you. We lost Mom in September 2009 so I understand what you're going through right now. God Bless you all.

I worked with Lt Col Rutkauskas many years ago at Travis AFB CA. What a smart and fun man he was. I phoned him a year ago to see why he wasn't at a service for a friend of ours. That's when he told me of the terrible surgery
he had and how ill he was. I have such fond memories of him. May he rest in peace.
