Uncle Dan, Diana, Danny--
What a wonderful, smart, spunky, loving, funny woman my Aunt Mary was. I'm so sorry about her passing.
I've always wished that Chicago were closer to San Antonio, and still do. Still, I feel lucky for the time I spent w/ you all and Aunt Mary in my childhood, and fortunate to have been welcomed again into your home in October 2002.
I hope to see all of you again---in the meantime, my sincere condolences and warmest wishes.
Love,
Tom

Uncle Dan, Diana and Danny,
You and Aunt Mary's happy home fill my memory of trips to Texas. Even through my adulthood, I treasured my visits to your home and being welcomed by Aunt Mary's smile and the beautiful conversation that was always a part of our visits. I am so sad that she is gone and that your loss will be so profound. I am so grateful to have seen her shortly before my dad passed away. I know that god is with both of them and they are at peace. With love,
Nancy and family

I know Mary Margaret from Providence High School. We graduated in class of '54. Our class still gathers at the Bright Shawl several times a year. We have enjoyed her visits when she could make them. She is missed by her classmates. We will remember her in our prayers. Our deepest sympathy to all the family. Judy Mitchell Camarigg '54 and Jane Mitchell Vollmer '53.

I treasure our family trips to Texas because of Aunt Mary and your entire family. As I remember it, my brothers and sister and I would strive to earn best behaved on the day because the top 2 would get to sleep over at Aunt Mary and Uncle Dan's house that night.
Uncle Dan, Diana, and Danny -- I am so sorry for your loss. I have pictured my dad giving her a welcoming 'big-brother' hug, and take comfort in the thought of their reunion with their parents.
Much love from Chicago,
Mary

Dear Mr.Bitsis,
I was very sorry to hear that Mrs. Bitsis passed away. I had met her several times and she was very sweet and complimentary.
I don't know if you remember me, but I was in your 5th grade class 1970-1971. It was the year you had appendicitis. You always played the "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash at the end of each school day. I gave you the record at the end of the school year.
I wanted you to know that you were one of my very favorite teachers and I learned so much that year.
You and your family will be in my prayers.
