Robert Winstead Obituary

WINSTEAD
Robert Aaron Winstead, 79, former Altus resident, passed away at his home in San Antonio, TX on December 18, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Altus Church of God with Bill Estep officiating. Burial will follow services at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Robert Aaron Winstead was born in White Flat, Texas on July 11, 1931 to Jesse and Susan (Austin) Winstead. He married Dorothy Bush in San Antonio, Texas in 1957. He joined the United States Air Force, retiring after serving his country for twenty-two years. He was of the Christian faith. Robert enjoyed fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Lonna Doughten of Olustee, OK; a son, Dewey Ray Winstead of San Antonio, TX; three granddaughters, Wendy Doughten of Wichita Falls, TX, Misty Reuter of Altus, OK, and Erin Cassidy Winstead of Mary Ester, FL; a grandson, Ryan Austin Winstead of Mary Ester, FL; a great-grandson, Mikail Reuter; two great-granddaughters, Mikayla and Mikendell Reuter; two sisters, Billie Nell Cooper, of Florida, and Jewel Hudson and husband, Huddy, of Texas; and a brother, Myron Ray Winstead and wife, Francis, of San Antonio, TX. The Winstead family will greet friends Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kincannon Funeral Home. Online tributes may be made @ kincannonfuneralhome.com
