Harriet Stelzner Obituary

Harriet Stelzner

Harriet, 74, was born in Kristiansund, Norway, but lived most of her life in Seattle and passed away on November 26th. She was happily married for 55 years and is survived by her loving husband, Jim. Her son Ron, preceded her in death 3 months ago. She is also survived by, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Michael, grandchildren, Robert, Gianna, Kristen and Alexandra, and great grandchild, Kai. Plus, extended family and loving and dear friends.

Harriet graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle in 1957 and then graduated from the Shoreline CC Nursing Program in 1976 and spent many years working as an operating room nurse at Stevens Hospital and Everett Surgery Center. She was loved by everyone that came in contact with her.

Harriet enjoyed traveling, golf and skiing. She was a member of the Inglewood Golf Club for 20 years and she and her husband, Jim, enjoyed spending winters at their home in Sun Lakes, Arizona. One of Harriet's favorite outings of the year was the 17th of May Norwegian celebration in Ballard.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 19th, at 1:30 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, 13047 Greenwood Avenue North, Seattle. A reception at the church will be held afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Harriet's name to either Providence Hospice 2731 Wetmore Ave, #500, Everett, 98201 or to Alzheimer's Association www.alzwa.org

I cannot relay how much the warmth and kindness Harriet showed me in my time of need meant to me. She was a sincere and generous woman. I can only hope I can pass this back to Jim, and the family in their time of need today.
