Angeles Vicuñ ANGELES Our beloved mom, Angeles Vicuñ Angeles, passed away March 25, 2011 in Seattle at the age of 88. She was born in Alang-alang, Leyte Philippines on September 22, 1922. Mom immigrated to the United States in 1947 to join our dad, Mariano Bello Angeles, and together enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2002. Mom loved getting together with her family, cooking, gardening, singing and performing traditional Filipino folk dances. She was a charter member of the Philippine War Bride Association. In May 1964, she received the Filipino Community of Seattle, Mother of the Year Award. She is survived by daughter Vickie (Michael), sons Ranesto (Ellen) and Josello, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters Anita, Alice, Anecita, and brother, Entoyey.. She is preceded in death by her father, Santos Vicuñ, her mother, Pelagia Ranes, her sisters Antonia, Adelida and her brother, Bonifacio. Rosary and Celebration of her life will be Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 2:00 pm at Columbia Funeral Home, 4567 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle.A reception will immediately follow in the Columbia's Hospitality Room. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Philippine War Brides Association Scholarship Fund, Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS), or the International District Drop-In Center (IDIC).To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Ron, Vickie, and Joe, both of your parents were wonderful individuals. I very much enjoyed my relationship with them and their introduction/appreciation of the Phillipine culture. I miss your mom's cooking too.
