Jack Mathews Obituary

Jack Wayne MATHEWS Sr. Born 8/28/25 in Seattle to Floyd & Helen Mathews. Passed on 5/5/11 with his family at his side. "Handsome Jack" served honorably in the US Navy in WWII and later became a Seattle longshoreman and proud member of ILWU Local 19. Preceded in death by parents & siblings Helen, Dan & Floyd. He is survived by his son Jack Jr; 3 grandchildren (with another due in Nov.); 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Memorial to be held at family home in Stanwood Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1 p.m. E-mail [email protected] for details.

R.I.P. Grandpa. The world lost such a good man. You were my Hero. You made me into the man that I am today. You were the one who always was there for me no matter what. You showed me how to appropriate the small things in life. You are a amazing person who kept up the fight to live to be able to see me Graduate high school even when you were very sick. You kept on living and being there for me with support and love that I will never forget. You stuck around to see Jack W Mathews IV be born. I have such a whole in my hart with your passing. I am so sorry I did not make it there to be by your side. I love you Grandpa and I will never forget you!!! I already miss you so much... Life is not going to be the same with out you... Rest In peace Grandpa and please continue to watch over me from above.... All My love your Grandson!!!!!
