Virginia Newcom Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" NEWCOM Ginny was born in Fargo ND on January 17, 1934 to Beatrice Paul and passed away on October 25, 2011, in her home. Ginny met the love of her life Robbie (Bob) Newcom in 1951 while working as a civilianfor the Navy. They married in December of 1951 and lived throughout the world as Bob's Navy career demanded. When Bob retired from the Navy in 1965, the family settled in Seattle for good. Bob and Ginny raised five children and ran several businesses during the course of their marriage. Bob preceded Ginny in death in December of 1999 but she never stopped loving and missing him. She is survived by five children: Robin (Michael) Clowers (Novi, MI); Teri (Tim) Pearson (Seattle); Kris (Bruce) Hillard (Santa Rosa, CA); Scott (Erin) Newcom (Edmonds) and Bonnie (Jim) Namba (Seattle). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Tim and Scott Pearson, Sara Bender, Kelli Newcom, Alex and Miya Namba, Justin Clowers and Nicolette Elizondo and four great- grandchildren. A private celebration of life was held on Sunday October 30. We miss you Ginny - rest in peace. I will always have fond memories of growing up next door to Ginny, Bob and all their kids, Scott, Robin, Teri, Kris and Bonnie. My parents Art & Betty also enjoyed having them as neighbors in the 1960's and 70's. My condolences to all in the Newcom family.
