John Mackall Obituary
April 21, 1931 - July 14, 2015
With great sadness Jack left us quietly Tuesday morning July 14th surrounded by loved ones. A native San Franciscan Jack attended Holy Name Grammar school, Saint Ignatius High School Class of '49, and graduate of USF.Words cannot begin to convey as we mourn the deep loss of a husband, our father, grandfather, brother and friend that this wonderful man was to all who knew and loved him.
USAF Veteran Korean War, Jack loved the floor covering industry and working with his fraternity of friends. He was in the industry 48 years, 40 of those with Butler-Johnson Corporation in San Jose.
Survived by his adoring and loving wife Gerrie, sons Jack Jr and wife Michele, Tom, Peter and wife Celeste, Jim and wife Kimberly, daughter Annie, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother to Jerry Mackall, Chico, sister Lorna Martinson (departed) and loving son to John Lee and Mardie Mackall (SF departed).
Jack will be remembered by all as a man who loved his wife Gerrie, family and friends, the game of golf (a 72 year member of the Olympic Club), skiing and world travel .
Rosary Thursday July 30th 7P IHM Church 1000 Alameda Belmont.
Funeral Mass Friday July 31st 11A IHM Church 1000 Alameda Belmont.
Funeral Reception immediately following Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice is appreciated by the family.

It was with great sadness to hear of Jack's passing. A friend and classmate since 1945 at SI and USF, a fellow Olympian, and best of all a good friend. From days at Rio Nido Beach to our continuing class reunion lunches, Jack Was always the same,full of fun and enthusiasim and always a person everyone enjoyed being with.
Our prayers are with the entire Mackall family.

Jack: My condolences to you and your family on your Dad's passing. I always remember him being a very patient and tolerant guy (at least in my presence) back in our high school days when we pushed the envelope and got caught more than a few times. And to think you were just the first of four sons he had to deal with!
