I have been taking my automobiles to Bob's shop since 1995... and I'll still keep bringing 'em in there! Bob was a very honest and warm person. His shop has given me the greatest service of any shop that I've ever been in. The employees have always been very friendly and helpful. I was shaken terribly when I heard the (bad) news. I pray that he is at peace now and reunited with his son. We'll miss you Bob! Oh, and Joseph, be strong! I'll be bringing in the cars this weekend for some more service. God Bless!

To the dear loved ones of Bob Bowen,
Just want you to know that I was Bob's landlady at the Bob Bowen's
Automotive Service in La Mesa. Never have I have I had a more pleasant and caring tenant in all the years I have leased my property! He even solved all the problems of my own car!
May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord!!
And~~ may all of you be comforted in your time of sorrow!

Very sorry to read this. Bob took care of a bunch of limousines for us. They are specialty vehicles so his local expertise was appreciated, not to mention they took up much space there. Bob was always service oriented and honest. I trust he has found heaven.

My wife, Sandy had only met with Bob when delivering or picking up a car or transmission for us to work on. When she heard about his passing, she came in to tell me she was in tears. Bob was able to touch people and make them feel like they were his old friends, even if they just met. I will miss him. He was a great person.

Bob was one of the first guys I met when I came here a little over a year ago. And he was always fun to see. I always looked for him when I was out at the hacienda. Haven't seen him in about 6-8 months. Seemed like a great guy to me. I'll miss him.
