We never knew Lisa however on a recent trip to Sooke on Vancouver Island (which is where we also live) we were walking on the beach and found a small container of Lisa's ashes. The instructions asked that if found we were to take her somewhere that was special to us, so we did just that! Her ashes are now at our little beach shack at the bottom of our property, and we are waiting until the summer to launch her on a new travel adventure on the east side of Vancouver Island. From reading her obituary it sounds as if this is a place she would have loved, and she'll enjoy her further travels around this beautiful island of ours.

I had a studio adjoining Lisa's in college and always enjoyed talking to her. Lisa never seemed to be in a bad mood and was a truly warm and sincere person. I was amazed that someone with so much going for her could also be so nice. I am saddened by her passing and regret I did not stay in touch.

I knew Lisa in high school, but not that well. Of course, I always saw her in the art room. One of the things I always noticed about Lisa was that she was always, always smiling, and one of the nicest people. I will remember that most about her. That, and her beautiful art.
