SPRINGFIELD - Thomas Joseph Dold, 47, of Springfield, passed away at 11:24 a.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Thomas was born April 15, 1964 in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Vincetta Connor Dold.
Thomas was a graduate of St. Agnes Grade School and Griffin High School. He worked as an equipment operator and truck driver and enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, 4-wheeling, motorcycling and spending time in the country.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vincetta Dold.
He is survived by his father, Joseph Dold of Springfield; brother, David (wife, Betty) Dold of Springfield; sister, Mary Teresa Dold of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Amanda (husband, Michael) Douglas of Clinton, Jena Dold (companion, Josh Taylor), Joseph Carlberg, Abigail Dold and Samuel Dold, all of Springfield; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield, with Rev. Robert J. Jallas, celebrant and Rev. George L. Morelock, concelebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
