Pauline Leaf Obituary

Pauline
FUHER
LEAF

Just 5 months short of 100, she joined her family in Heaven on Monday, May 9, 2011. She was born October 9, 1911 to Peter and Mary Quade at their farm house in Odessa, WA, she joined her brothers Bob and Alfred and her sister Francis. When she was 2 ½ their family moved to their Peone Prairie farm. She graduated from Mead High School. She married Kenneth Fuher and they raised their four sons Larry, Steve, Stan and Wes on E. Nebraska. They are all deceased. Pauline was hired at Webster Lumber Co. as a bookkeeper in 1963 and retired in 1978 as the manager. She never stopped being the best bookkeeper, always working in her "office". She married Carl Leaf in 1964. They danced 2-3 nights a week having to leave early on work nights. They enjoyed traveling the U.S. Carl died in 2006. When Grama was 97, she joined her granddaughter's family in Otis Orchards where she spent her final years back out in the country just like her life began. She is survived by her 11 grandchildren and their families, 19 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She has two daughters-in-law "My Dodie" and Betty Fuher. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 13 at 3:00 P.M. at Fairmount Sunset Chapel. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity to honor Grama.

My Gram was always bigger than life to me. I will always remember every Easter & Thanksgiving holiday at her house. The entire family w/12 grandkids were there. All the Fuher boys--including my dear brother Bob must have welcomed you with open arms. I will see you again Gram. Dalene

Pauline was a very dear friend and employee of my father, Lloyd Russell, when he managed Webster's Grain Door Plant in Spokane. They stayed in touch for several years after they both retired. She was always such a sweet, sweet lady. Our condolences to her family. Janice Russell McCall
