Nathaniel J. Clatterbuck Nathaniel J. Clatterbuck, 92, of Culpeper, VA, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence; was born on April 5, 1918 in Madison County, VA, the son of the late Lottie Clatterbuck Cook. Nat was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church for 46 years, a member of the TEL class and a door greeter for the children; retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 30 years service; was a charter life-time member of the Reva Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad for 15 years and he loved gardening, woodwork and time spent with his family and friends.

Nat was a devoted husband of 67 years to his loving wife, Anna K. Clatterbuck of Culpeper; wonderful father to his sons, Roger T. Clatterbuck and his wife Bonnie of Culpeper, VA and Ross Clatterbuck and his wife Paula of Saginaw, TX., his daughters, Linda Corder and her husband Roger and Ann C. Frazier and her husband Jack, all of Culpeper, VA. Nat was also a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren, Kim (Neal) Fairfax, Cathy (Billy) Wise, Tracey (Jennifer) Clatterbuck, Faith (Mike) Jenkins, Crystal (Chris) Hill, Trevor (Mary Ann) Clatterbuck, Hope Frazier, Justin Clatterbuck, Tyler Clatterbuck, Olivia Clatterbuck and Jeremy Clatterbuck and a wonderful great-grandfather to his 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Nat in death is a grandson, Nathan Clatterbuck.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John S. Farrar conducting the service. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 4160 Rixeyville Road, Jeffersonton, VA. 22724

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701, Reva Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 18320 Birmingham Rd., Culpeper, VA 22701 and to the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA 22701.

Ann, we are sorry to hear that your father passed away. We always thought that your parents are two of the nicest people and always enjoyed seeing them.. God Bless your family during this sad time.

Mrs. Clatterbuck,Roger and family, when I opened the Culpeper Obits this morning I was saddened to see that Mr. Clatterbuck had passed. Only time will heal such a wound.You ( Mrs. Clatterbuck ) and Mr. Clatterbuck are two of the most wonderful people I have met.I really enjoyed the visits to your home.
