Dorothy H. Peters, age 82, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Stovall, North Carolina, Mrs. Peters was a devoted and faithful Navy wife who followed her husband, Dr. Earl R. Peters, through his 30 years of active duty service as a Pediatrician. She was a loving and dedicated mother.

Dorothy lived several years in Virginia Beach before moving to Jonesboro in 2005. She was a member of Little Creek Chapel in Virginia Beach and was a member of the Navy Wives Club. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry Peters and Cindy Crews, of Jonesboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ernest Bligen, of Seattle; one Sister, Marion Giannasi, of Richmond, Virginia and four grandchildren, Brandon Crews, Dr. Tracy Crews, Tianne Bligen and Taneccia Bligen.

There will be a private entombment on Tuesday in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Richmond, Virginia. There will be no visitation.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the American Cancer Society.
