Ella Fortune Obituary
Mrs. Fortune was an avid reader who also enjoyed crocheting as well board and card games. Above all, Mrs. Fortune loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Leslie Denise Fortune, Jason Howard Fortune, and his wife Navine, all of Virginia Beach, three sisters Janet Carter (Marshall), Jacklyn Lewis (Cecil), and Sandra Ferguson (John) all of Culpeper, Va. Ella was preceded in death also by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Michael Lee, Sr., also of Culpeper, VA.
Additional survivors include one grandson Jason Anthony Fortune, two special nephews, Michael and Marc Lee, two additional brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 pm. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Home, 2002 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Fortune's name to Sentara Health Foundation Hospice Services, 6015 Poplar Drive, Suite 308, Norfolk, VA 23502. RIP Cousin Frances,
You will be so greatly missed. You were a wonderful spirit that I so enjoyed being around. Being around you and Henry you two made me realize what true love really was about and it can last through the test of time. It was a pleasure to have you in my life and thank you for being there with every event I had in my life. Now as you have entered the gates of Heaven, I know there is another angel in my corner!!! RIP and see ya when I get there!!! Love and miss you two Tootie and jason
