Joanne was one of a kind! She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone! She absolutely loved her family! Resiliency was her middle name. She stood by Bob through the thick and thin. She was extremely proud of her 3 sons and always told me what they were doing. i often think of her. How she loved shiny jogging suits, moms in touch, and her home Bible studies. She was escorted way too soon to heaven but what a gain! She was loved.

Bob, Andrew, Mark, and Scott, my heart hurts so much for all of you and others who knew and loved Joanne. She brought so much joy to those who knew her. I will always cherish the memories of the fun times we shared while living together and the beauty of her voice at our wedding. It was a special priviledge to visit her a few weeks ago and say goodbye. There are no tears in heaven and we will all be together again one day. You are in our prayers. Joanne worked for me for many years as a Substitute teacher at Bowie High School. Her spirit, and her positive outlook on life brought joy to all she touched. She was always my "Friday" savior.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

An unexpected call from a friend in Texas relayed the news of Joanne's passing. I am deeply saddened and wished that I had even know she was ill. She was always one to share the good news, but I can see now, slow in sharing the bad. The world will miss Joanne, but she will brighten up the next. My deepest sympathies to the family: Bob and sons.

Sweet Joanne:
Always a talker, always a bright joy, always a prayer warrior! I loved your caring heart, your zest for life and your colorful personality!
I will miss you fondly but so happy you are singing, and playing the piano in the mountains and dancing with our Savior!
Thanks for being a friend!
