James Arnold Robb

December 18, 1927 ~ February 22, 2011

TURNER - James Arnold Robb of Turner, Oregon passed away February 22, 2011 at the age of 83. Born in Smithfield, Nebraska on December 18, 1927 to Hudson & Bernice (Swanson) Robb. Moved to Nyssa Oregon in 1937. Enlisted in the US Navy November of 1945 and proudly served until his honorable discharge in August of 1946. In 1948, he married Lulabelle Wilson, later separated. He then remarried to Shirley Price on July 31, 1997. James was a true cowboy working as a rancher most of his life. James lived in Moses Lake, WA., Republic, WA., Baker City, OR., then settling in Turner, Oregon. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Robb of Turner, Oregon; children, Bruce Robb of Moses Lake, WA., Jan Hall of Moses Lake, WA., Scott Robb of Waterville, WA., 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one brother, Wayne Robb of Sumpter, Oregon; and Darlene Hamilton of Ontario, Oregon.

Graveside Service will be held 12:30 p.m., Sunday February 27th at Owyhee Cemetery in Nyssa, Oregon with a Celebration of Life service following at 1:00 p.m. at the Nyssa Senior Center. Contributions can be made to the Turner Retirement Homes in care of Farnstrom Mortuary 410 Monmouth St. Independence, Oregon 97351 who are entrusted to funeral arrangements.
