Sue was the best fashion coodinator ever to hit Portland. I worked with Sue in the late 70's and 80's as a fashion model. She was very instrumental in helping me launch my business!! I will miss her!!

I was lucky enough to have Susan as my boss at Goschie Levy during a time when I was in great transition. Her energy and zest for a life worth living was invaluable as I ventured ahead both personally & professionally. Her loss was too early. Peace to all the family & friends so sad at this time. <3

My Aunt Sue-Sue was the greatest. She was an absolute staple of my childhood and when I think of the best times growing up, I think of family gatherings with her right there. Aunt Sue-Sue always thought of fun things to do. On the day pictured in this photo, we did random tribal makeup, sang songs and performed for the house. She always remembered my birthday and holidays. I will always remember her infectious laugh, the way she would notice if you were feeling down, turn to you and focus her entire attention on brightening your spirit. Aunt Sue-Sue was simply...the best.

I worked at Meier and Frank with Sue and just spent an evening with her in late January after Judi Hofer's service in Portland. I hadn't seen Sue in many many years before that night. I'm so glad i got to see her again, we laughed and caught up on old times. Sue was always kind, funny, smart and just a fantastic person to know.

Susan's death has been devastating to me. We were friends since 1977 and had been out of touch for several years but recently had reconnected and planned to get together when she returned from that fateful vacation. Susan had several different lives as I knew her and they rarely touched. She was the Fashion Director of Portland's oldest and largest department store at a time when she set the style for the city. She was partner with my best friend, Lauri Levy and they turned out some of the most innovative advertising ever while they were in business at Goschie Levy. When Susan left the advertising business in Portland and took the job with Silverton Hospital she again set the bar for excellent work. She loved to travel and I was lucky enough to go with her on some of these trips. When I spoke with her recently she said she was the happiest she had ever been. She had reconnected with her lost high school love and they had married and planned to travel the world. Life seems unfair to take our Susan so soon but we were lucky to have her in our life for as long as we did. So long, old pal....you were one in a million.
