Nellie Lucile Beal

SALEM - Nellie L. Beal passed away October 3, 2007 at the age of 92. Born in Colorado to Arthur and Mary Jane (Pierce) Dowell, she attended school in the midwest. She lived for many years in the Salem-Keizer area. She married Raymond H. Beal in 1964. Nellie realized her long-time dream of graduating from Willamette University in 1966, at the age of 51, and worked for Adult and Family Services until retirement. Nellie was a long-time member of First Baptist Church.She is survived by daughters, Ruth Addison and Bettie Munger-Johnson; sister, Margaret Binggeli; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-children, Jerry Beal, Jim Beal, and Winnie Zweigart; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Ray Beal; daughter, Margie Wilson; granddaughter, Karen Munger; great-granddaughter Megan Salcido; and step-daughter,  Bonnie Paul.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 10 at Restlawn Memory Gardens, West Salem.
