Michael McGinnity Obituary

McGinnity McGinnity, Michael Patrick McGinnity, Michael Patrick, born in Brooklyn, New York on 02/10/23 passed away on 04/22/11. Our Dad was predeceased in death by our Mother, Evelyn McGinnity on 08/04/04 with whom he was married to for 54 years and will be laid to rest beside. Dad is survived by his six loving and devoted children, Joanne (Snookie) Lopez, Patricia (Cookie) Mansfield (Keith), Michael McGinnity, Jr. (Virginia), Margaret (Peggy) Schiff (Les) and his twins [born on his Birthday], Karen Zaranski (Mike) and Kevin McGinnity. He is also survived by his seven grandsons (Shawn, Mark, Clinton, Matthew, Andrew, Mikey and Markey) and three granddaughters (Amy, Melissa and Samantha), and his dog, Slammo, who was a very good boy to him. Dad was a proud veteran of WWII (US Army- Calvary). He was one of the most funniest persons we will ever know, who always kept us laughing, never missing a beat. Dad loved to sing and always had a song in his heart. We will miss him terribly, especially on Sundays when we would get together and play our favorite card game, Slammo. Dad, we love you and will miss you forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us all how to have a good time. Viewing and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 04/26/11 beginning @ 10:00 a.m., with military honors to commence @ 1:00 p.m. at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 N.W. 57th Avenue in Miami Lakes.
