David Gooch Obituary

GOOCH, David AllenAge 72 of Nolensville, TN. September 22, 2008. David served 4 years as a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He enjoyed serving the town as a third generation owner of the Nolensville Mill Co. and fifth generation (1805) owner of the Gooch Farm on Lake Road in Williamson, Rutherford & Davidson Counties. He was an avid tennis and golf player, who for the past 24 years, wintered in Florida. Preceded in death by his father, Owen Allen Gooch & mother, Eva Akin Gooch. Survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Carolyn Crownover Gooch; son, David Michael Gooch (Lana Gooch); daughter, Kimberly Gooch Brooks (Don Brooks); sister, Patsy Gooch Henry (Parman Henry); and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11 a.m., at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, by Pastor Stan Mitchell. Interment Nolensville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers: Rich Woodroof, Derek and Gary McCreery, Will Dotson, Greg Terry, John McArthur, Don Cassidy and Larry York. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to the service at WOODBINE FUNERAL HOME, HICKORY CHAPEL Directors, 615-331-1952; Still Family Owned.
