Age 85, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2014.

Born in White County on May 5, 1929, he was the son of the late R. L. and Louverna Bumbalough Crosslin. Robert Lynn Crosslin married Joyce Maxine Hudgens on July 15, 1950. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. Robert Lynn was a long-time Shriner of the Masonic Lodge. He became a member of the White County Election Commission on April 3, 1963, serving for 51 years. He was the "voice of the elections", giving the results on WSMT Radio. Robert was believed to be the oldest member of a county election commission in the entire state. During his lifetime, Robert led a colorful and varied life, dabbling in everything including racing stock cars, auctioneering, piloting, selling everything from vacuum cleaners to Mack trucks and later in life obtaining his broker's license to sell real-estate.

Mr. Crosslin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Crosslin Dunham and James R. Dunham of McMinnville; daughter, Becky Crosslin Stein of Lawrenceville, GA and grandson, Scott Dunham of Nashville.

Visitation will be at Central Church of Christ on Tuesday, August 5th from 5 - 8 p.m., also viewing will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. till time of service 3 p.m., also at Central Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer foundation, White County Public Library, McMinnville First United Methodist Church, or Sparta Central Church of Christ.
