Byron Hartzfeld Obituary
Born March 12, 1948, in Luthersburg, he was the son of William L. Hartzfeld who survives in Soldier and Margaret (Muth) Hartzfeld who preceded him in death. He was married to Victoria M. Wilson-Hartzfeld. She survives in North Carolina.
He was in the Army during Vietnam having received a Purple Heart. He retired after 20 years as a deputy sheriff of Prince George's County in Maryland. He was a past president of the Western PA and DuBois area dart leagues.
Byron is also survived by seven children: Byron Lee Hartzfeld Jr. and wife, Nicole, of Virginia; William Lewis Hartzfeld II and wife, Wendy, of Virginia; Michael C. Hartzfeld of DuBois, Joshua Allen Hartzfeld of North Carolina and Johnathan Thomas Hartzfeld and wife, Rebecca, of North Carolina; Adam Clouser and wife, Betsy, of DuBois; and Joshua Hawk of Bradford; a sister, Patricia Kay Hartzfeld-Fields of Curwensville; and 14 grandchildren,
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Hartzfeld.
Friends will be received from noon-2 and 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Military honors will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
