I will miss my Dad but am glad that he is not suffering the immense pain that he was in. He told us he did not want to be a burden to anyone, which is just like him, always thinking of others instead of himself. I am honored to have walked behind him on his tractor for the last time as my husband gave him that ride to his final resting place on the hill above his beloved catfish hole. Rest easy Paw paw see you when we get there.

John was and will always be one of the best men I ever knew. He helped buy me my first car(at a car auction) and was the first person to tell me that I was going to have two "mean" boys when the doctor told us we were going to have twins. This world has truly lost a great person but heaven has gained a wonderful angle. John will forever have a place in my heart. I love all of you and wish I could have been there today to see him ride on his tractor for the last time.

I have been so blessed and proud to know Uncle John and call him (and all of you) family. I know how proud he was of each of you. I can't ever remember him without a smile-even one of the last times we visited, he still found something to smile and laugh about. Much love and all our prayers to you.

Gina,
I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I know he suffered a long time but I'm sure the love that you and the rest of your family showed him made it a little easier. It's hard to lose a loved one but I'm sure he had a long wonderful life. I know he was blessed to have you as his daughter. Take care.
