LAKELAND - The beloved, Mrs. Cheryl Jerido Lewis was born January 21, 1958 to the late Charlene Hudson Williams and Maynard Hudson in Jacksonville, FL.
Anyone who knew her knows that her presence alone had the ability to brighten up a room with her dazzling smile, her bright eyes, and her loving ways. She was a mother, sister, aunt, friend, a great listener and companion to everyone she came in contact with. Her desire to help others prompted her to open and run her business, "Wonder Years Christian Home" - an assisted living facility - until her demise
She peacefully moved from the realm of life into eternal rest Saturday, February 16, 2013, due to respiratory failure.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Hudson Williams, her father, Maynard Hudson and her sister Patricia Glover. Her memories and legacy of her life will be cherished by her husband Albert Lewis; four children: Carlos Hudson (Sheneka), Charlitha Clark, Melody Jerido and Jolanda Asbell (Travis); three God children: Ann Dorch, Curtis Williams, Sr. and Tamika Ziegler; thirteen grandchildren: Shanee Brown, Renard Hudson, Mykael Hudson, Mykhaella Hudson, Kameisha Johnson, Erik Peeples, DeMon Peeples, Chance Jerido, Jakobi Jerido, Jaylon Tyre, Paris Allen, Taniyah Asbell; one great grand daughter Maliyah Hudson; one aunt, Mary Ellen Howard; ten brothers and sisters, Janie Thompson, Norma Johnson Hills (Sammie), Bilal Saleem (Lazzette), John Smith and Lequisha Hudson Hoffman of Jacksonville, FL, Patrice Hudson, Peter Hudson (Vanessa), Catherine Hudson, and Pauline Dillette (Ashton) of Nassau, Bahamas, and Jeddire Hudson (Terri) of Cincinnati, OH; a special friend Joseph Jerido and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and close friends.
Memorial services will be at 11 AM Saturday at First Baptist Church at the Mall.
