James Walker Obituary
James Phillip Walker of Winter Haven, FL went to be with his Lord on Saturday, 8/7/2021. His beloved wife, Milagros Jimenez Walker, passed a few days after. Jim was born in Jacksonville, IL on May 28, 1940. Both parents preceded him in death as well as his sister Betty and brother John. He is survived by his daughters Adita Bird, Nancy Bird, Monica Patterson (Kelvin) and sister Nancy Mawson (Steve). Grandchildren Giovanni, Nicholas and Xavier Jones, Matt Mahan, Emma and Connor Patterson; Great Grandchildren Ariana and GianCarlo Jones.
Jim was an Eagle Scout, served four years in the US Marine Corp at Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, and enjoyed teaching mentally challenged adults. Jim was a member and a leader in his church, Winter Haven Christian Church and a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
Visitation will be at 10am Saturday, August 28 with a Celebration of Life service following at 11am at Winter Haven Christian Church, 301 6th Street NE, Winter Haven FL 33881.
