NORMAN, SR.
ORANGE PARK, FL - Robert Marshall Norman, Sr. (K4GRD), 73, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, with his beloved wife beside him.
His love for amateur Radio helped to guide his profession and life for over 50 plus years. He belonged to Florida Amateur Radio Transmitting Society, Winter Haven Amateur Radio Club, American Radio Relay League (life member), Lakeland Amateur Radio Club and Orange Park Amateur Radio Club. He was a devout Christian and belonged to Island View Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar Newton Norman and Dorothy Robinson Norman. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn M. Jones-Norman of Orange Park; son, Robert Marshall Norman, Jr. (Mickey); daughter, Kimberly Norman Hardy (Bobby); grandchildren, Zachary Norman, Sybella Norman and Gracie Norman, all of Lakeland, FL; mother-in-law, Mary C. Forbes of Orange Park, FL; brother-in-law, Richard Forbes (Lisa) of Monticello, GA; step-son, William Allyn Crooms (Christina); step-grandson, Jesse Crooms of Middleburg, FL and many other loving family members and friends.
A memorial services for Robert will be held 11am Monday, May 23, 2016, at Island View Baptist Church, 900 Park Avenue, Orange Park, FL. A fellowship will follow at the residence.
The family requests memorials in Robert's name be made to the Orange Park Amateur Club, P.O. Box 1029, Orange Park, FL 32067-1029.

Our family was honored to call Bob our friend. His wife Carolyn has been a remarkable woman and we praise her for being there for Bob through his illness. We will miss Bob.
