'ALEX' JOHNSON

FT. HOOD - Spc. Alexander 'Alex' Johnson, 21, passed away July 12, 2016.
Alex was born in Brandon, FL on Dec. 30, 1994 to Michael and Myriah Johnson. He served his country as a Specialist in the U.S. Army and was an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter repairer. He was a member of Highlands Church of God, and the American Legion. Alex was an avid outdoorsman, and had a love for God, Country and Family.
Alex is survived by his father, Michael (Sabrina) Johnson; mother, Myriah (Bradley) Johnson; sister, Kaylin Johnson; paternal grandparents, Cecil and Terri Johnson; maternal grandparents, Michael and Molly Baker; fiancé, Samantha Stinson; and his extended family; and his brothers and sisters in Arms.
Visitation will be Wed. from 5-8pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Ch-apel, 1727 Bartow Rd., Lakeland. Funeral services will be conducted Thurs. at 10am at Highlands Church of God, 2045 CR 540A, Lakeland. Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or www.activeheroes.org .

To all of the family of Alex Johnson. I am truly sorry for your lost. No one can help you understand why Alex life was cut short, but rest a sure he is in a much better place than we are.
