Colleen Camarata Obituary
FREMONT: Mrs. Colleen R. Camarata, 87, formerly of Fremont, OH went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Loganville, GA. She was born on October 4, 1929 in Tiffin, OH, the daughter of William Stoldt and Irene (Cook) Stoldt Cordrey.
Mrs. Camarata was a 1948 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co. after 27 years of service, and attended First Baptist Church of Loganville, GA. Colleen was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil E. Barton, and her second husband, Vincent J. Camarata.
She is survived by her Son & Daughter-in-law: Dennis & Vicki Barton of Loganville, GA; Grandchildren: Christopher (Kate) Barton of Roswell, GA, Stephen Barton of High Point, NC, Timothy (Kristin) Barton of Lilburn, GA; Great Grandchildren: Stella, Naomi, Calum, Dylan & Riley Barton. She is also survived by step children James (Cheryl) Camarata, Vincent L. (Dorothy) Camarata, Nancy Hovis, all of Fremont, OH, Richard (Nan) Camarata, Gibsonburg, OH, eleven step grandchildren, twenty-two step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. She will also be missed by close friends Suzy Carson, Carollee Unkle and many friends at the Fremont Senior Center.
Colleen was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings; Bill Stoldt, Alice (Stoldt) Stiger, Douglas Stoldt and Marilyn (Stoldt) Fisher.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017, 11:00 am, at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH with one hour of visitation at the funeral home prior to the service. Pastor Gene Weishuhn will officiate.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Water of Life Fellowship, 4470 Oak Harbor Southeast Road, Port Clinton, OH 43452.

I worked with Colleen as a Long Distance Operator at Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in the early and mid sixtys. She was such a delight, with a huge heart. Starting as a teenage I was at the bottom of the totem pole, and I always got the all nighters, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday shifts. Many, many times Colleen would offer to take my Saturday so I could have a 'date night' here and there. She also took several Holidays which must have been somewhat of a sacrifice on her part. I will miss our quiet talks, her beautiful smile...and most of all-our friendship of over 50 years. So very, very sorry for Your loss, Denny. She was quite the Lady.
