Kenneth Howe Obituary

KENNETH HOWE Kenneth A. Howe, 90, died Monday, May 14, 2012 in Parkhouse Providence Pointe Nursing Home, Royersford. He formerly lived in Lansdale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia L. (Altman) Howe in 2007. Born in Sumneytown, he was the son of the late Nelson and Ida (Newberry) Howe. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Monongahela during WW2 in the South Pacific. He was a template maker working for Aydan-Raytor Co. of Montgomeryville, and has been retired over 25 years. Ken was a member of Grace Mennonite Church of Lansdale. He was a member of Shiloh Lodge 558 F & AM and he was a 32nd Degree of Allentown Consistory Scottish Rite. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Marie Gingrich (George F., III) of Pennsburg; one son, Nelson Amon Howe (Marian) of North Wales: three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service Saturday, May 19 at 10AM in Grace Mennonite Church, York and Mitchell Sts., Lansdale. Interment will be in Friedens Cemetery, 1011 Church Road, Sumneytown. Friends may call at the church Saturday morning from 9 to 10AM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Phila., PA 19140. Arrangements are by the Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home, Lansdale.
