Bessie Delrie Obituary
Mrs. Bessie L. Rachal Delrie, 85, of Alexandria passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012.
A mass for Bessie L. Rachal Delrie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Father Jose Robles- Sanchez, pastor of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until shortly before service time at 10:00 a.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Delrie was preceded in death by her parents, Felix McKinley Rachal and Louise Duthile Rachal; sister, Velma Luttrell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 68 years, Frank "Jack" Delrie; sons, Frank R. Delrie and his wife, Darcelle; Sherman T. Delrie and his wife, Celeste; daughters, Judith E. Delrie Domres and Linda A. Pree; brothers, Huey Rachal and wife, Geraldine, Joseph C. Rachal and wife, Patricia; sister, Cecelia Prudhomme and husband, Charles; grandchildren, John S. Williamson, Harry Landsiedel, Lizette Queen, Teresa Detrick, Randall Keith Delrie and Robert M. Delrie; seven great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She was a resident of Alexandria/Pineville for 60 years. Mrs. Delrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her other love was flower gardening.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Delrie, David Cartwright, Doyle Wayne White, Anthony Cain, Ricky Cruz, Joe Damon Rachal, Edmund Hinton and Russell White.
A special thanks to Grace Home and to all people involved in the care of her during her last days.
