I am a retired employee in the residential division of the R.J. Solove/Casto Organization. I feel honored to have been associated with the company and Mr. Solove. Even though we didn't have much direct contact, he always remembered who I was and thanked me for doing a good job for him and the company. I will always remember what a kind and gracious man he was and how fortunate I am to have known him and his associates.

A great man has passed from us. He was an inspiration 40 years ago to expand my horizons and reach for the stars. During many conversations at the old Columbus Indoor Tennis Club on Joyce Avenue and the Jai Lai, Dick gently prodded me to reach my full potential. Although we had many serious exchanges, he had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. He was a man's man, keen in business affairs but always showing his kind and gentle nature.
This event is a tremendous loss to his friends, family and our whole community.
Our sincerest and deepest condolences to Ladonna and his family.

I am very honored to have known Mr. Solove. I admired him for the way the love and memories for his parents, siblings and friends who passed away before him never faded away from him.
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them dearly.
The love for his wife was strong and true.
Many of his employees have been with him for decades, he acknowledged a job well done.
He wished he could help everyone, but that wasn't possible. So he put much thought into how to help as many people that he could, one of the most well known being cancer research.
He took the time to share his knowledge and business experiences with many young people over the years.
He loved and cared about his country, he fought for our freedom in World War II.
He was passionate in everything he did, he set goals and accomplished them. The world could use more people like that.
He never lost sight of the more simple things in life, such as admiring a flower, enjoying a bowl of ice cream, holding a newborn baby to name a few.
He made the most out of his life, he worked hard for all that he accomplished. He will be remembered with love, respect and admiration by many, many people, who's lives he has touched. I am one of those people. Rest in peace Mr. Solove.

LaDonna,
We are so sorry to hear this news. It seems only yesterday that we were in the old South Fourth Street office, talking about this very important person in your life. In time, your memories of the wonderful years together will, we hope, lessen the sadness you feel today.
Sincerely,

Hi Missy. I wanted to express my condolences on the loss of your dad. He was always so kind to us girls when we were at ODC. I will never forget your graduation party and what a nice event that was. I lost my dad this past year also. I hope you are doing well and just wanted you to know that I am remembering you and your family in prayer.
