When I was a little girl, you showed me what I thought was the most amazing feat ever done with a piece of string: Jacob's ladder. You could do it lickety-split, and I was fascinated. You tried to teach me and might have succeeded in manipulating the string on my little hands so that I, too, could at least *hold* a Jacob's ladder, but I certainly was never able to accomplish the thing of my own accord. For some reason this crossed my mind today, and I determined that I could--and would--learn it now, now that my fingers are those of an adult and perhaps are better at minding me. So, Mr. Mack, it is with great pleasure that I tell you: I can now do Jacob's ladder. And every time I do it, I will think of you. Thank you, Mr. Mack, wherever you are. Peace and blessings to you and yours. Sincerely, Alphonso's younger daughter

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
Come to Me.

With tearful eyes we watch you
and saw you pass away
and although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove us
he only takes the best.

Love,
The Watts Family
