Brother Percy and Family:
I am deeply sadden at the loss of your brother, father, uncle and friend Thomas Brewer. He was a one of a kind human being who always impressed me with his dedication, commitment and espirit de corps. You see, Thomas and I were apart of the Cadet Corps at Maggie L. Walker High School. And, I'll never forget the the pride he had as our First Sgt. which was so obvious in his swagger whenever he wore his uniform.
Over the years, I was fortunate to see him from time to time at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Hospital whenever I was there. We shared conversations and was always delighted to be in his company.
During his illness, I was fortunate to visit with him on several occasions with and without several of our MLWHS "Class of 1965' members. While he couldn't speak, he was very much aware of our presence as we prayed together and expressed our support for our former classmate and friend.
While I witness his homegoing service, his eulogy given by Rev. Holmes was outstanding. His expressions acknowledged the man I respected and called "T" Brewer better than my words can do at this writing. But, I will say that he was unique and special to me.
May God bless bestow on you and your family a sense of peace and be comforted knowing that Thomas is at home with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Percy and Family: Please know that I am so sorry to hear of the demise of your brother Thomas. He endeared hismelf to my entire family a long time ago from our High School days at Maggie Walker. He was my good buddie. He also was a wonderful person and friend to my brother when he was a patient at the VA Hospital. My visits there were always welcomed when I saw Thoams in the halls of the VA. He will be sorely missed.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. I will always remember when Thomas reminded me to take the time to say "good morning" before "Thomas, can you..." Whatever the 'can you' was, he was always on top of it. He made it easier for me to work a challenging area. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

Percy and Family
Keeping you in our thought and prayers. This is a time for gathering all the best of a good life into the pages of memory to be held in your heart forever.
Remember Thomas as he lived, the fun and good times you shared. Remember him happy and his beautiful smile.
And when you remember him take comfort in the way he would want you to keep his memory close, not with sorrow but with joy and peace.
