Dorothy Faircloth Obituary

FAIRCLOTH, Dorothy Jean, 84, of Richmond, Va., subsequently of Winchester, Va., Severna Park, Md. and Toms River, N.J., passed away on June 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelda and Samuel Ballas Sr.; a sister, Marie Creasy; and a brother, Frank Lane, all of Richmond. Ms. Faircloth was a retired housekeeping supervisor and child care provider. Survivors include her loving daughter, Carolyn Allgair; devoted grandchildren, Clinten Allgair, Eric Allgair and Kristen Costa; and three great-grandchildren, Jerry Caporale, Joshua Costa and Emily Allgair. Other survivors include a brother, Samuel Ballas Jr. of Richmond; a sister, Dorothy Brooks of Doraville, Ga.; two nephews, Kenneth Wayne Ballas and David Allen Ballas; and two nieces, Kelly Ballas and Robin Lane Zuppa, all of Richmond. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, where a funeral service will also be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery following the service.
