Mr. Cook cut my husband's hair from the his teen years (1960's) until Mr. Cook retired. No one could do the job right except Mr. Cook. When our daughters were young, they went with their Dad on Saturdays to Mr. Cook's and always looked forward to seeing Mr. Cook and the bubblegum treat he had for them.
When my father was seriously ill (1964)and unable to go for his weekly State Police haircut (a very close crop), Mr. Cook came to our home and cut my father's hair. I will never forget his kind and gentle manner.
Mr. Cook will truly be missed by many on this earth. He touched so many lives with his kind and gentle ways.

Sandra, may your Father's light continue to shine through you and your siblings. Sorry I didn't get to the viewing nor the service, but as I left the building today at 12:10PM I heard the sirens and knew it was your Father's possession. What a tribute! As hard as it is to let your Daddy go, it is a relief to know he is not suffering and you have the assurance that he is Home with Our Lord and your Mother.

Mr. Cook cut my hair and my father's hair for many years. When I was a young boy and when I became a teenager, Mr. Cook always treated me with much respect and he made me feel like a grown-up person while I was sitting in his chair. He was a very nice person and a good, steady friend to my father, T-Pot Williams, who sat in his chair every two weeks for many years. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and I would like his family to know that he had a positive influence on my life and on the lives of many others. Many of us at Elkhardt Junior High School and Manchester High School had Mr. Cook as our barber during our school years. We were all very fortunate to have known Mr. Cook and he will be missed by many.

We are sorry to hear of Melvins passing. He was a real friend and was always the same every day . He will be sorely missed by many of us.We had many happy times with him and Nancy as neighbors-friends and Masons. Melvin served Clover Hill Lodge as Worshipful Master and Secretary and was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason. We will surely miss him but we will see him again because we know that he is in Heaven with our Lord. When we put our trust in the Lord, our faith is well founded. We will see you in the spring as we are in Florida for the winter,

To Mr. Cook's family,
May God grant you peace in your loss.
Mr. Cook cut my hair for about 25 years and when he retired, that loss was only eased by Angelo when he took over. Sadly, Angelo passed before Melvin and I had a hard time finding a shop I liked.
Rest in peace Mr. Cook until we meet again.

Mr. Cook was one of the nicest people we ever met; He came to the house and cut my Dad's hair when he could no longer get around. I will miss his smile and good nature when he would visit. He was a wonderful man.
