Alice Radler Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch from Apr. 14 to Apr. 15, 2010.
RADLER (Continued) William F. Radler. She is survived by two daughters, Alice Radler Casey of Emmaus, Pa. (Jeremiah P. Casey) and Toni Radler of Mechanicsville (James G. Hunt Jr.); three grandchildren, Libby Casey of Washington, D.C., Joy Garlin Hunt of Portland, Oregon, and William Radler Hunt of Durham, N.C. In addition, Alice was predeceased by her parents, Alice and John S. Funk of Charlottesville, five equally independent and sassy sisters, and one outnumbered brother. Alice never told her age, though inquiring minds wanted to know. And you'd be surprised; she was born on September 18, 1922. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia. A graveside celebration will be held on Friday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park.

We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Alice. I have fond memories of visiting with my dad, Uncle Harry. Their door was always open and welcomed all who stepped through it. Aunt Alice & Uncle Bill will be deeply missed. With Love always, Skip Radler & Family

Toni and Alice - your mother was beautiful and a very special lady. I know you will miss her but what memories she left. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the viewing but please know I'm thinking of you.

To all of the Radler family, my deepest condolences. She was a special, special lady. And I always loved to see her and hear her stories (loved her accent) when she visited Pennsylvania.
