BERNICE FRY

FRY, Bernice Marie "Sis," 93, of Short Pump, passed away October 8, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Harvey Johnson; her husband, George R. Fry; siblings, Ruth, Arthur, Lizzie, Bozie, Ruby and Bob. She is survived by her son, Robert Wayne Fry and his wife, Joyce; grandson, Robert W. "Robby" Fry Jr.; granddaughter, Lynn Disse and her husband, Ricky; great-grandchildren, Robert W. "Trae" Fry III, Camryn Darlene Fry, Gennifer Lynn Barker and Joey Barker; great-great-granddaughter, Natalie Sharon Barker; special niece, Susan "Sissy" Redford; brother, William Smith Johnson; sister-in-law, Dot Johnson; and many more relatives whom she cherished. The family would like to extend special thanks to caregivers, Susan Redford and Chip, Lynn Disse, Donna and Jiggs Gordon and Odyssey Hospice. Sis was a devoted member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She loved family gatherings and making people laugh. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, gardening and canning. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad Street, also where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 11, at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Short Pump.
