CHUMNEY, Mrs. Bertie Lenhart, 81, of Amelia, died December 31, 2010. She was preceded in death by William H. Chumney; a son, William H. "Billy" Chumney Jr.; and a brother, Lawrence Lenhart. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Chumney of Amelia; grandson, Jason Chumney and wife, Donalda, of New York; sisters, Nira Dunn of Virginia Beach, Jeanette Smith of Chase City, Nancy Black of Rockledge, Fla., Frances Womack of Richmond, Devata Lipscomb of Chase City; brother, Don Lenhart of Richmond; sister-in-law, Mildred Lenhart; a devoted friend, Ann Hathaway. The family wishes to thank the staff of Amelia Nursing Center for their excellent care. The family will receive friends Monday evening 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Service, and where services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Roy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Moores Church Cemetery in Amelia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund, 2216 Lakeview Dr., Powhatan, Va. 23139. Wood Funeral Service is serving the family.
