Michael Travis Finch, 47, of Virgilina, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born September 16, 1978 in South Boston, Virginia.

Travis is survived by his mother, Phyllis Queen Hancock (Bryan) of Chase City; his father, Gerald C. Finch of Chase City; his children, Travis Nathan Finch (Hannah Barker) of Semora, NC and Meredith Brooke Finch (Wyatt Campbell) of Nelson, VA; his grandson, Tristian Campbell; brother, Stephen Neil Finch; nephew, Matthew Taylor West; and his beloved dog and sidekick, Luna. He is also survived by his loving significant other, Stacy Taylor and her children, Kyle Laughner (Courtney), Layne Halcomb, Mason Halcomb, Seth Womack, and Reyisa Magee and her grandson, Landon Laughner; and life long friends, Michael Brown and Patrick Rice.

Travis is a Bluestone Senior High School graduate, Class of 1998. He was a boat repairman and sales associate at Clarksville Watersports and a very talented woodworker that could build anything. Growing up he always enjoyed collecting baseball cards. He enjoyed his chickens, growing a big garden and cooking. Travis loved his family and helping others; he was always a phone call away to help anyone at any time of the day, especially helping his mom with her electronics. One of Meredith’s favorite memories was when he would bake chocolate chip cookies and only gave her and Nathan one each and ate the rest himself. He is Nathan’s right hand man and they loved watching wrestling together. Travis loved his family above all else.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Travis’ memory to the Lake Country SPCA.
