Myra, Judith and I were at her family reunion in Bedford, Va today and were shocked to hear of Warren's death. We regret that we had not heard of his passing earlier and had an opportunity to express our sympathies to the family. We had many wonderful years together and we will always cherish those times, especially at Virginia Tech and in Blackstone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please contact us if can ever be of any assistance.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I had the pleasure of serving with Charlie in the 80th Division. A super soldier and a true southern gentleman.
He made a difference to all who served with him.

You have to make stuff up for some people's eulogies. Not for Warren's. We could have gone for days telling true stories about the life of this singularly magnanimous, great man. Warren profoundly changed and enriched my life.
