Ida F. STANLEY

STANLEY, Ida F., 86, of Ashland, departed this life on Monday, November 9, 2009. She was a member of Winns Baptist Church and the widow of George Stanley. She was a loving homemaker who spent her time caring for others and who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Survivors include her son, Paul Stanley; her devoted friend, Bob Tignor and his family; four sisters, Charlotte Hayden of Glen Allen, Virginia Irving and her husband, Forrest, of Spotsylvania, Thelma Cheadle and her husband, John, of King George, and Phyllis Ellis and her husband, William, of Stafford; three sisters-in-law, Laura Chenault, Mabel Chenault and Winnie Chenault; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Ralph Chenault, Aubrey Chenault, Possie Chenault and Otis Chenault; a sister-in-law, Gracie; and her brother-in-law, John Hayden. Arrangements are being handled by Nelsen Funeral Home - Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, where visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., and services will be held Thursday, November 12, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Winns Baptist Church, 12320 Winns Church Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23059, or a charity of your choice.
