James Manley "Tom" WALTON

WALTON, James Manley "Tom", 88, of Mattaponi, Va., died Sunday, October 25, 2009. Tom was born August 30, 1921 in King & Queen County. He was educated and a lifelong resident of King & Queen County, and a lifelong member of Old Church, Shanghai, Va. He retired from Chesapeake Corporation after 44 years of service. Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Emma Kate Walton; and a son, Bryant Douglas Walton. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Peggy and George Callis, of Mattaponi, David and Lee Walton, of Gloucester, Ryland Walton of Mattaponi, Joyce and Robert Miller, of Topping; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point, Va. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery.
