HANEY, Janie Foster, 97, of Richmond, Va., departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Mrs. Haney was born September 30, 1913 in Beaverdam, Va. She was a member of Saint Peter's United Methodist Church, Montpelier, Va., and retired from American Tobacco. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Haney; son, G. Herbert Inge Sr.; and daughter, Mattie Inge Hughes. She is survived by grandsons, Craig Jennings (Linda), G. Herbert Inge Jr. (Kelli), Michael Inge and Wayne Inge (Deborah); six great-grandsons, and one great-great-grandson. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238, on Saturday October 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. The family wishes to thank everyone who cared for Janie at Alpha House Assisted Living. This was Janie's home since 2001.

I always thought of her as Granny Jane. She was such a kind and giving person and truly loved her kids and grandkids. I can still remember that smile. God be with.
